Today's Phrase does not create an account and does not upload your house secret.

The daily phrase is derived on device from a secret you store in iPhone Keychain and, on a paired Apple Watch, in that Watch's local store. Family members receive a copy of the secret when they scan your invite. There is no company server in the middle.

Camera access is used only if you scan an invite QR. The photo is not stored.

No analytics, no ads, no tracking cookies, no sale of personal data.
